Inanna 7th Gate... Female Nude Digital Fine Art Jean Inanna 7th Gate.    (click title above for print-on-demand...) Jean, as Inanna, ... traditional-modern acrylic/oil and original digital image ... an original digital fine art painting. Jean, as Inanna, in her decent to the underworld, in a traditional-modern style. It is based on my own original earlier studies, jean, paintings and drawings. "Why does Inanna go down into Hell? Neither the Sumerian nor the Akkadian versions of Inanna’s Descent to the Underworld tells us why she goes there."  (http://ancientworlds.net/... Inanna/Ishtar's Descent into the Underworld) The gateway came from an image Ancient World History ; I took the gateway part, modified it quite a bit, and added an abstract color overlay.  The abstract overlay was generated using GIMP Qbist. These are two of my earlier paintings. which I used as a basis for Inanna Nude Female Portrait Jean Seated, by G Linsenmayer    (click title above for print-on-demand...) ...an original oil / acrylic image of a female nude, seated, accomplished in a contemporary style. Goddesses - 2 multimedia fine art paintings...

Goddesses are always a favorite art motif; to test the obvious, just search online for "goddess". I've done 6 or 8 or so in the last couple of years, many of them being built up from my own prior sketches / paintings, put into a classic "goddess" motif.  Here are 2  of my "earlier" art pieces... Aphrodite... Aphrodite traditional-modern acrylic/oil and original digital image ... an original multimedia fine art painting. This picture is an original piece of computer-developed digital art, based on my earlier original acrylic/oil sketch on paper, a female nude standing. For the digital image I have used a motif by Bouguereau. "Aphrodite was the ancient Greek goddess of love, beauty, pleasure, and procreation. She is identified with the planet Venus, which is named after the Roman goddess Venus, with whom Aphrodite was extensively syncretized. Aphrodite's major symbols include myrtle, roses, doves, sparrows, and swans. ... The cult of Aphrodite was largely derived from that of the Phoenician goddess Astarte, a cognate of the East Semitic goddess Ishtar, whose cult was based on the Sumerian cult of Inanna. Aphrodite's main cult centers were Cythera, Cyprus, Corinth, and Athens. In Laconia, she was worshipped as a warrior goddess." In recent years, many of my paintings are based on "sketches" which I develop on my computer.  I use an opensource image software, GIMP, which I find to produce good results. Work underway...

 Here are two paintings which I'm currently working on.  I tend to overlap my work on several pictures at a time, sometimes with large breaks between times of work.

In recent years, many of my paintings are based on "sketches" which I develop on my computer.  I use an opensource image software, GIMP, which I find to be quite fine to use. The first picture below is the current painting, underway, acrylic/oil on paper.  The second is the original "computer-developed sketch", to be a basis for my final painting.  (I decided to put in a couple of cats for "extra".)

Female Nude, Standing, With Cats.

This is computer-developed sketch for a new acrylic/oil on paper, an image of a female nude, standing, accomplished in a traditional-modern style.  I decided to put in a couple of cats for "extra".  I am currently working on a acrylic/oil original painting of the picture.
